5 SURPRISINGLY EASY WAYS TO MAKE ANY ROOM FEEL SPACIOUS
I’ve rearranged my room 20 times, yup, that’s not a typo, 20 good times trying to find the perfect ways to make it feel and look spacy, but after learning these few hacks I’ll share with you, you’ll never have to go through the same stress as I did.
You probably may have given-up, or marked that room impossible to fix but hey, if I finally worked it out, I am sure these simple tricks will help you achieve same too, no matter the room size.
The first basic and effective trick is:
1. Decongest Your Room
You may be eager to get these hacks and give your room that aura you’ve been wanting it to have, well, may I suggest to you, in case you haven’t done it, to decongest your room, take away stuffs that you no longer make use of, such as very old books, shoes, clothes and bags you no longer need, empty containers and other items. You’ve got to let go of some items you’re sure are no longer useful to you, okay, give your room a thorough clean up or raid, you’ve got to let that room breathe first, before any other hack comes in.

2. Maximizing Utilization of Vertical Room Space
Alright, you may have applied the very first hack, and yet you don’t still feel the vibe, trust me, this next trick works for every single room, and I’ll be dissecting 3 effective ways to use your vertical space, it makes the room feel very spacy.
a. The first is the High Wide Curtain Fix, how to do this, instead of the popularly known method of hanging your curtain right above the window frame, place it very near to the ceiling, higher than the normally known level of curtain placement. By doing this, it makes the curtain frame the window, giving the window a massive impression and lets enough natural light fill the room, instead of blocking it.
b. The second hack is the Floor to Ceiling Shelve Trick, instead of using shorter shelves, buy, or make vertical hanging shelves attached to the wall, from the top area of the wall (you can easily access) to the bottom, this provides adequate storage compartment, while properly managing space.
c. The third is quite optional, if you are not a lover of art, but for art lovers, you will appreciate this hack,
The Vertical artwork placement, hang your artwork, preferably a vertical type, a little higher than eye-level to pull attention above, this also helps create the spacy feel.

3. Make Tactical Use of Mirrors and Light
When I said surprising ways, I’m sure you really wanted to know what’s up with that title. Well, the proper use of mirror is a win method, hang or place big sized or medium mirrors opposite or adjacent a window to bounce light into the room, also, make use of soft lighting instead of harsh ones, like room lamps, uplighters and warm shelf lighting, to fully lighten the room.

4. Paint Hacks
Do you know that the choice of colour you make, can give your room a tight feel or a spacy one, that’s why, colour is here as part of my room trick, so if you really want that spacious looking room, you should make good use of pale/lighter shades to create that roominess.
Oh, lest I forget, if getting a paint doesn’t feel like a cool option for you, consider getting a wallpaper with the same lighter shade, and if you really want to take this décor to the max, give your room a monochromatic colour, let the colours you choose to paint the wall or shelves match or look similar to the one on the ceiling.

Last and the least
5. Good Choice of Furniture
Tables and chairs on raised legs is most suitable especially for small sized rooms, this lets you see the flooring underneath it, such that the room feels more open than it would when there’s a furniture sitting directly on the floor.
Do well to pull furniture slightly away from the wall instead of jamming everything tightly together. Try to purchase and make use of multifunctional items like nesting tables and storage ottomans.

Dear reader, I believe you’d very much appreciate this article but the time you effect at least three of these hacks.
I’ll be rooting for you as you work your way towards a spacious room, living
area or apartment.
Ciao!!
